Welcome to our website! Our website is still under construction, so thank you for your patience.
We became an LLC in November 2011 and plan to host our first one-day leadership seminar in March 2014 at a university in Houston, TX.
The president of Civil/Military (CM) Leadership Seminars, Colonel Phil Bossert, USAF (retired), returned earlier this year from a fifteen month assignment in Kabul, Afghanistan. There he advised 30 senior Afghan officers and taught them how to develop a three year, $15 billion defense budget. Colonel Bossert also taught them strategic planning, leadership, and management. He was assigned to the NATO Training Mission based at Camp Eggers and was employed by a defense contractor. His assignment was cut short when he was medically evacuated on January 29, 2012 with a brain tumor. It was successfully removed on February 2nd at the Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and he is completing the final phase of his recovery at his home in Friendswood, TX. Colonel Bossert's recovery has been so rapid that he was called a "medical miracle" at Walter Reed. He is on track to make a full recovery and completed the Dallas Half Marathon on December 9th with his son and his son's girlfriend; they completed this 13.1 mile course in 2 hours and 17 minutes. On Thanksgiving Day this year he also completed a 10K Turkey Trot race in Houston with his son and daughter in 50 minutes.

Our core values include integrity first, world-class service, professionalism, and teaching & research excellence.
Civil/Military Leadership Seminars is unique by using military veterans and university professors to teach a wide variety of practical lessons on leadership that can be immediately used.
We emphasize professionalism, ethics, and core values, the nuts and bolts of applied leadership, servant (taking care of people) leadership, and what the U.S. military terms JIIM (Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, Multinational) operations.
As we get closer to our inaugural seminar (actually our ninth one but first revenue generating event), we will provide more details including how to register, the location, times, and specific agenda.
